Implements a reliability improvement program without integration with the logistic support systems.
The process involves:
- Performing RCM analysis on critical systems defined during the risk modeling activities
- Development of reliability models for asset failure modes associated with critical consequences
- Identification and design of condition-monitoring and condition-assessment applications for appropriate
tasks defined through the RCM process
- Application of appropriate residual life estimation methodologies to critical failure modes
- Implementation of the Reliability Improvement strategy within an automated environment
After this phase you will gain the following benefits:
- Reduced unscheduled outages and the length of scheduled outages
- Improved process yield
- Increased planning horizon through access to the right decision support information to manage the
maintenance process planning
- Reduced costs by limiting the number of equipment replacements due to improper maintenance
- Less parts and material cost resulting from fewer failures and reduced PM’s
